1100.199: Composition I provides International/non-native English speaking
students a supportive
and nurting environment as they work toward acclimating to the
writing demands of U.S. universities like ECU.
English 1100.199 counts for the same credit as English 1100 and as such
requires the same types of assignments and assignment lengths and complexities
as those encountered by students in other section of English 1100.
The key difference for students in this course this semester is that
they will be meeting in the First-Year Writing Studio in a small group
and will have GTAs serving as special consultants to work one-to-one
with each student. Likewise, the GTAs and Professor Banks will work together
to develop lesson plans and sequence activities to ensure that students
in this course receive the best instruction possible.
