Gueuye Publishes Op-Ed for Al Jazeera

Dr. Marame Gueye published an op-ed, “Senegal: To whom do women’s bodies belong?,” on Al Jazeera’s website. In the editorial, Gueye writes, “In Senegal, there is a deep-rooted culture of rape and gendered violence. Large segments of Senegalese society do not really know what constitutes rape and view sexual assault as a misdemeanour at best.”
