Hoppenthaler Poem Appears on State-Wide Posters

John Hoppenthaler’s poem “The Weather down Here” will appear on posters state-wide as part of the NC Poetry Society’s Poetry in Plain Sight Program.

According to the North Carolina Poetry Association’s website, “Poetry In Plain Sight was originally launched in Winston-Salem in 2013, to bring North Carolina poetry and poets to the public. Four poems are chosen for each of the twelve months and displayed on posters in street-visible locations throughout arts districts, bookstores, and downtown areas in Winston-Salem, New Bern, and Burnsville, and, in 2021, Wilmington and Greenville have been added to the list of Host Cities.”
