Klein’s Class Screens Cult Classic — The Room

Dr. Amanda Klein’s FILM 4980: Topics in Films Aesthetics class recently hosted a special film screening. The class showed the 2003 film, The Room.

Klein stated, “The class project is for the students to host their own interactive, cult film screening. They must design the posters, flyers, and promotional materials (attached is one of their posters), advertise the event on campus, through social media, develop a list of ‘rituals’ for the audience to perform, and to order and assemble prop bags for the night of the screening. This year’s event was a great success, despite it being our first ‘post-pandemic’ screening of this film.”
