Hoppenthaler’s Poetry featured in The Southern Poetry Anthology

Professor John Hoppenthaler published new poems in The Southern Poetry Anthology, Volume IX: Virginia, joining Rita Dove, Charles Wright, Claudia Emerson, and many more. The Southern Poetry Anthology highlights poetry by authors from each state in the southern U.S. Specifically, the editors’ goals are twofold: first, to re-establish poetry of the South as a major presence in American literature, and second, to include a greater range of poets from the South to introduce a new poetic geography, a fresh corpus of what we understand to be “Southern Poetry.”
