ECU Creative Writing alumna, Jessica Cory (MA, 2012), with Laura Wright, has co-edited Appalachian Ecocriticism and the Paradox of Place, scholarly essays that engage environmental and ecocritical theories. Cory teaches in the English studies department at Western Carolina University.
