Gueye Selected as Fulbright Scholar
Dr. Marame Gueye won a competitive Fulbright U.S. Scholar Award for the next academic year. She will teach and research at the Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar in Senegal.
Created on February 24, 1957, the University of Dakar was officially inaugurated on December 09, 1959. On March 30, 1987, the university changed its name to Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar.
The Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar announced the Award and stated, “The benefits of a Fulbright Scholar Award extend beyond the individual recipient. Fulbright Scholars raise the profile of their home institutions as well. We hope that East Carolina University can utilize Gueye’s engagement abroad to establish research and exchange relationships, connect with potential applicants, and engage with your institution’s alumni in the host country.”
