Moore Defends Dissertation at UNC-Chapel Hill
Eddie Moore successfully defended his dissertation in English and Comparative Literature at UNC Chapel Hill. The project, “Black Queer Homelessness and Horror in the Novels of Ralph Ellison, James Baldwin, and Randall Kenan,” examines fictional representations of black queer homelessness in relation to notions of “horror” associated with the black queer body. Utilizing black feminist theories and psychoanalysis, the project interrogates possibilities for black queer homespace connected to reclamation of the black feminine/maternal.
