Myers Wins Fearing MA Award

Mary Myers is the 2022 Fearing GTA MA award winner. Mary graduated in Spring 2022 with a degree in English Studies and has been teaching at Craven Community College since August of this year. The committee was particularly impressed by the rapport that Mary establishes with her students.

As one student said, and a number of others echoed in their feedback, “Ms. Myers is a wonderful professor. She gives the students time to ask questions and she does not make me feel dumb or embarrassed for asking. She is always walking around helping students when needed and she makes it an equal-level playing field. She makes me more confident in my learning and my self–esteem has gone up from taking this course with her.”
