Gueye Featured in Senegal Media

Dr. Marame Gueye gave an interview (in French) on sexual assault for Seneweb, the major Senegalese online newspaper. The interview was read by over 3500 people. If readers use Google Chrome, they will have the option of viewing the article through Google Translate.

Gueye will also be one of the scholars, who will serve on a panel at this year’s Neustadt Literary Prize. This year’s recipient will be awarded to Senegalese writer Boubacar Boris Diop who wrote the seminal novel, Murambi the Book of Bones, about the Rwandan Genocide. While at the three-day celebration of Diop’s work, Gueye will also meet with Maky Madiba Sylla with whom she is co-producing a documentary on Diop’s life and work.
