Miles Leads Second GAME P.L.A.Y
Gera Miles led the Second GAME P.L.A.Y (Police, Life, and Youth) created for ECU students on November 7th. It was sponsored by Student Centers, ECU Police, the English Department, and Ethnic Studies. Over 10 Police officers and 60+ students attended the event.
GAME P.L.A.Y (GAME POLICE, LIFE, And YOUTH) is an award-winning 501 (c) (3) non-profit that has changed the lives of youth in our community. It is an outreach program designed to elicit positive change and understanding between young people and the police.
Miles said of the event, “We provide a place where local police and young people can come together, play non-violent video games, and talk to one another about their relationship—where it is currently and how it can be positively reinforced for the future.”
