Kitta Gives Lecture at Cal-Berkeley
Dr. Andrea Kitta recently returned from two presentations on the west coast. She presented “Covid Legends, Three Years Later” at the Western States Folklore Society’s annual meeting, and she gave the Alan Dundes lecture at Berkeley titled “Lab Leaks, Bat Soup, and Common Cures: Folklore in the Time of COVID.” The Alan Dundes Lecture, held annually at the University of California, Berkeley, is widely regarded as one of the most prestigious academic events in folklore and anthropology. Named after renowned folklorist Professor Alan Dundes, who taught at Berkeley for over four decades, this lecture series attracts leading scholars and intellectuals worldwide.
