Stanley’s Essay Wins Paul Farr Memorial Award

Carson Stanley’s essay “The Politics of Attention: Indigenous Postmodernity in Heid Erdrich’s Pre-Occupied” has been selected as the winner of this year’s Paul Farr Memorial Essay Award. The English Department’s Student Scholarships and Awards committee praised the essay, which was written for Prof. Kirsten Squint’s ENGL 3250: Native American Literature course, as “insightful,” “tightly argued,” and “gracefully written.”
