Pittman Joins Gardner-Webb University
MA (Literature Concentration) graduate Josh Pittman (2014) recently moved from the Department of English at Bluefield College, VA (a small liberal arts college) to a position at the same rank (Assistant Professor, tenure-track) in the English Dept of Gardner-Webb University, NC.
Pittman graduated with a BA in English and history from Campbell University and with an MA in English from East Carolina University. He studied medieval literature at Baylor and was in the religion and literature track. His dissertation used the phenomenology of Jean-Luc Marion to explain why violence and peace are interdependent in the Middle English Brut.
