Kitta Publishes Article
Dr. Andrea Kitta recently published an article in the book Behind the Mask: Vernacular Culture in the Time of COVID with the University Press of Colorado. Her article is titled, “Fake Grannies, Extra Doses, and the One Hundred: COVID-19 Vaccine Hunting and Accessibility” and it covers some of the ways people were vaccinated before their scheduled time, inequalities in COVID vaccine distribution (and healthcare in general), and some positive stories of how regular people created ways to help when the healthcare system failed them.
