About

Yvonne Kao is a music-trained rhetorician and PhD student. She began her college career in Music, as a flautist, and then added Communication and English. The common thread that connects these majors is research and composition. Her interests lie in the study of narratives, genre analysis, the composition process, music, professional communication, digital rhetorics, and aural rhetorics. She is working to find relationships between and combine her research interests.
