Squint Presents at Appalachian Studies Conference
Dr. Kirstin Squint presented her paper, “Gadugi and Duyvtka: Cherokee Values in Annette Saunooke Clapsaddle’s Even As We Breathe” at the 47th annual Appalachian Studies Conference held at Western Carolina University on Friday, March 8, 2024. The paper offered a reading of Cherokee epistemologies as represented in Clapsaddle’s novel, the first published by a citizen of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.
