Anne Mallory
About
Anne Mallory joined the ECU English Department in 2007. She teaches first- and second-year composition and literature courses such as “Major British Writers” and “Introduction to Poetry.” Her scholarly publications focus on British literary responses to the French Revolution, teaching Jane Austen, and the rhetoric of palmistry in Thomas Hardy’s Napoleonic drama, The Dynasts. Her article “Burke, Boredom, and the Theater of Counterrevolution” won the William Riley Parker Prize awarded to the outstanding article published in PMLA during 2002-03.
