Cameron Eigner
About
Cameron Eigner taught at Ball State University, Central Piedmont Community College, and the Lents Education Center prior to joining the ECU faculty in 2018. As a graduate student, he served as fiction editor for Binghamton University’s nationally acclaimed literary journal, Harpur Palate. Cameron received the Samuel Newhouse Award in Fiction in 2008. He also assisted in the development of assessment materials for a community-based English program for Karen/Karenii refugees from Myanmar in coordination with the First Baptist Church of Indianapolis. Cameron also acted as conference chair for a regional writing conference, Practical Criticism Midwest, in 2016. In addition to writing courses, he has done work in American literature, humor and stand-up comedy, ESL materials development, and assessment. In his leisure time, he is an avid gamer and a cooking enthusiast. He has a cat named Ampersand (&).
