About

Zachary Perkinson joined the faculty in Fall 2007. His teaching experience at ECU includes Composition (ENGL 1100 and 1200) and Writing for Business and Industry. He has taught classes (both online and face-to-face) in composition, developmental English, and literature in the community college system. Prior to hearing the siren song of English Department faculty employment, he worked as a freelance copywriter in advertising, among other pursuits. His research interests include the rhetorical traditions of literatures specific to national language communities, idiomatic discourse, and anything to do with American literature. As an undergraduate, he wrote for The East Carolinian and worked as an editorial assistant for the North Carolina Literary Review.
