About

Joshua Gardner is a Teaching Instructor in the Department of English. He joined the English faculty in 2017. After beginning his teaching career in intermediate grades, he realized both his love for teaching and specifically, love for teaching writing. However, he realized his teaching home is more at the postsecondary level than the elementary level. A native North Carolinian (born and raised in a rural town near Charlotte), Josh is now proud to call Greenville home and work with fantastic undergraduate students at ECU. While he loves teaching, he also loves balance in his life. For Josh, balance comes from running many miles each week, consuming copious amounts of coffee daily, and snuggling his pit bull, Dolly, as much as he can. In addition to teaching, he also serves as an undergraduate advisor for English majors at ECU.
